Have you ever needed to reset your laptop/PC? Or maybe you bought a new one and dread to load WorldData and all of that annoying stuff when you launch the game? Whatever the reason, I've got the fix for you! (Windows only guide)
What you'll need -
WinRAR, 7zip, or any file extractor. (for this example I'm using WinRAR)
Access to the Program Data folder. (tutorial will be given)
Wizard101 installed (with everything loaded) on your computer
USB drive, External Hard Drive, or any cloud software that allows file uploading (ex. Google Drive, MediaFire, etc.) *Keep in mind, Wizard101 is roughly 8GB+ so make sure you have enough space. I recommend Google Drive if you have no other options as it gives you 15GB of free storage and no upload limit.
First, download a file extractor -
For this example, I will be using WinRAR, but you can use any file extractor you'd like. If you want to use WinRAR, click here. (You do not have to buy WinRAR, so make sure to just click "download".)
After that, you should reach the set-up. Follow along and read carefully. Once everything is installed, continue to step two.
Second, locate and access the Program Data folder -
The Program Data folder is where Wizard101 resides. However, this folder is hidden by default. To access this folder, you will need to enable a few options.
First, open File Explorer, and in the upper left-hand corner click "View".
Next, check these two settings:
Now, let's find the Program Data folder!
In your navigation bar, copy and paste this and click enter: C:\ProgramData - now, you'll be greeted with quite a few folders. However, we are focusing on the KingsIsle folder. When you click this folder, you should see "Wizard101" and "Wizard101 Test" (if you have the Test Realm installed).
Third, make Wizard101 a .RAR package -
Right-click the Wizard101 folder and you should see several options. Click "Add to Wizard101.rar":
Now, it will begin to pack Wizard101 into a compressed file.
Depending on your download speed, this may take an hour or so. (It will add the .rar file to the KingsIsle folder. However, once it's complete you can drag it onto your desktop.)
Finally, upload it or save it to an external drive -
The final step is to upload this to a cloud storage site or on an external/USB drive. For this tutorial, I'm using Google Drive, so I will demonstrate how to upload Wizard101 there.
First, go to drive.google.com and click "New":
then click "Folder Upload". Navigate to the place you compressed Wizard101 and upload it to your Google Drive. Now, this may take an additional hour or so depending on your download/upload speed.
And voila that's it! You're ready to go. Once you've set up your new PC, reset it, or simply just want to reinstall Wizard101 at a later date you can go back to your Google Drive and download the .rar package and extract it.
Once you've reinstalled and extracted it, go back to Program Data and make a new KingsIsle Entertainment folder and place the extracted Wizard101 folder inside.

Q: Is this safe?
A: Yes.
Q: I can't find the Wizard101 Launcher!
A: Go to the Wizard101 folder you just extracted and placed in the KI folder, and either copy and paste Wizard101.exe on your desktop or pin to the taskbar. Run, and it will begin to load the patch client. (DO NOT install the patch client off of the Wizard101 website or it will reset the files and once in-game, will require you to load everything again!)
Q: Will I have to do this every time?
A: No. You can install the compressed file without updating it. Whatever worlds and items that were loaded pre-compress will forever be loaded on the next install. However, any new content released after will require loading. I would suggest doing this after a big update if you want to be consistent.
Q: Will my game still be updated, or will this affect later updates?
A: The game will be updated as time goes by due to the Patch Client. This method will not affect later updates.
Q: I did everything correctly, but it still loaded everything!
A: Make sure you didn't miss a step and make sure your compressed file contains the Wizard101.exe file. If it does not, this method will not run the game and you may need to reinstall Wizard101 officially. Also, don't install the Patch Client from the site as this will reset the files and require you to load everything again.
Q: Can I do this with Test Realm?
A: Yes you can!
